ATATURK UNIVERSITY AT NSU

Nakhchivan Ataturk Research Centre within the university was established under the decision dated to October 24, 1995 of the Academic Council of the Nakhchivan State University. The Centre aims to research and study the life and activity of the great Mustafa Kamal Ataturk, the builder of the Turkish Government, deeply and to train the spiritual values, like independence, statehood, secularization and patriotism in the new generation of Azerbaijan benefiting from the honored life of the great leader of the Turkish world. The objectives of the NSU Ataturk Centre  is to establish relations with Ataturk Culture, Language and History Supreme Organization in Turkey, including scientific-research centres within it, as well as, Ataturk Centre in Azerbaijan  and improve them.


Nakhchivan Ataturk Research Centre has been called the  Nakhchivan State University Ataturk Centre since June 3, 2004.

Nakhchivan State University Ataturk Centre carries out scientific-cultural activities in the following directions:

  1. Celebration of the most important historical days related to the life, activity and services of Mustafa Kamal Ataturk.
  2. Demonstration of the theatricals dedicated to Mustafa Kamal Ataturk.
  3. Participation at the symposiums held in Turkey
  4. Carry out literary-cultural activities dedicated to the life and way of struggle of Mustafa Kamal Ataturk
  5. Celebration of the significant historical days on the Turkish Government

There is a library and internet centre here which enable to study the heritage of Mustafa Kamal Ataturk and his position in the history of other Turkic peoples, in general, Turkish history and culture deeply and do scientific- researches.

 The library includes publications on Mustafa Kamal Ataturk’s life and activity, the period of national struggle and Government history, Ottoman history, encyclopedic editions dedicated to the Azerbaijan –Turkey relations on the Turkish literature, works by the Turkish poets and writers, bulletins of Ataturk centre, about 1000 fiction on Turkish culture and tourism, as well as, documentary and feature films dedicated to Mustafa Kamal Ataturk and compact disks containing  views related the tourist destinations of Turkey.
