ADMISSION TO DOCTORAL STUDIES!
Nakhchivan State University announces the acceptance of documents for the doctoral program for the 2025-2026 academic year!
Ddocument acceptance for the doctorate is carried out electronically through the "Education Centralized Information System" (TMIS) (through Portal.edu.az for a period of 3 weeks from 05/13/2025). Those who want to be admitted to doctoral studies should upload their documents to the portal.
The following documents are submitted for admission to doctoral studies:
· personnel registration sheet;
· biography;
· character certificate from the workplace;
· extract from the work book for those with work experience;
· a list of published scientific works or an abstract on a chosen specialty;
· duly certified copy of diplomas on graduation from a higher educational institution (certificate of recognition of educational documents for citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan who have studied abroad, certificate of completion of the master's level of education or its equivalent (doctor-specialist in medical education) in the last year of education (only for those studying at the country's universities);
Under the chairmanship of the head of the institution, the admission commission consisting of faculty, department, department, unit, laboratory heads, leading employees and potential scientific supervisors of doctoral students will be responsible for the acceptance of documents for doctoral studies and other related measures (correctness of documents, determination of specialty compatibility, appointment of scientific supervisors, etc.). In the document acceptance process, the person who wants to be admitted to the doctoral program will be invited to the higher education institution, after the intended scientific supervisor has interviewed him, he will submit the decision of agreement or refusal to carry out the supervision in writing to the admission commission. In case of refusal, another academic supervisor will be offered to the candidate. Document acceptance cannot be completed without the opinion of the academic supervisor.
The admissions committee makes a decision on admission to the exams based on the opinion of the intended academic supervisor and other submitted documents. The designated person in charge of the work of the portal confirms the receipt of the documents of the registered eligible candidates. Candidates are admitted to the application stage for foreign language. ("Foreign language" exam is scheduled to be held on 09.06.2024, candidates must register on the dim.gov.az website or apply with a language certificate if they have a valid language certificate).
Candidates who have successfully passed the "Foreign Language" exam will be admitted to the "Philosophy" exam stage (the "Philosophy" exam is scheduled to be held on September 2-4, 2025). Candidates who get "acceptable" from the subject "Philosophy" will be admitted to the qualification exam stage (the qualification exams are scheduled to be held on September 9-11, 2025).
If the persons who want to be assigned as a dissertation candidate have passed the "Foreign Language" exam, an interview is held for those persons by the higher education institution and a decision is made on the applicant's assignment.
