2 International Examination Centers operate at Nakhchivan State University: IELTS and SAT Registration and Examination Centers

NDU IELTS center will be operational from April 2022 in cooperation with the British Council and Nakhchivan State University has started. In addition to the official IELTS exams, various seminars and free speaking clubs related to the academic English language are held in the center.

Since its inception, about 250 candidates have taken the exam and received an official IELTS certificate. Some of them continue their education abroad.

The Center makes the official IELTS exam available to residents of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and all candidates, regardless of their place of residence and citizenship. The center has an important role in the implementation of English-language education at Nakhchivan State University.

In 2024, 60 teachers at the IELTS exam center took the exam at the expense of the university budget, and the British Council presented the university with an official "IELTS Test Center of the British Council Cooperation Program" certificate.

         According to the "Agreement between the Agency for Quality Assurance in Education, the Education Development Fund and Nakhchivan State University on the organization of promotion of scientific-pedagogical staff members and students to the IELTS exam" signed with the Education Development Fund and TKTA on October 29, 2024, students and academic staff of Nakhchivan State University who have a minimum average score of 6.5 and above are eligible for the exam. they will get back the amount they paid.
