A festive event was held at NSU on the occasion of December 31 - Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis and the New Year

Nakhchivan State University organized a festive event on December 31 - Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis and New Year in Nakhchivan Palace. The event was attended by the university administration, professors and teachers, employees, students and guests.

       An exhibition of caricatures made on the basis of artificial intelligence technologies reflecting the activities of university employees was viewed in the lobby before the event.

 Later, one of the greetings addressed to the people by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, on the occasion of  World Azerbaijani Solidarity Day and New Year was shown in the form of a video. The Rector emphasized that national unity and solidarity are one of the main pillars of Azerbaijani statehood. He noted that higher education institutions play an important role in the preservation and development of these values. Elbrus Isayev said that 2025 was marked by important achievements for Nakhchivan State University. During the year, the university further strengthened its position in the fields of science, education and culture, both domestically and internationally. Emphasizing that these successes were achieved as a result of the joint activity of the teachers and students, the Rector thanked everyone and wished the university staff success in the new year.

        Later, a video showing the successes and development path of Nakhchivan State University in 2025 was shown.

     Participation of Santa Claus and Snow Maiden, who are considered symbols of the New Year in the Turkish world, was welcomed by the participants of the event. This presentation made a special contribution to the formation of the holiday song.

        At the event, Aziz Gasimov, Chairman of the Trade Union Committee of NSU, delivered holiday congratulations to the team and noted that the creation of a healthy working environment at the university and the social welfare of employees are always taken into account. In the speech, Rector Elbrus Isayev announced that all employees of the university will be given a monetary reward in the amount of 1 month's salary for the upcoming holidays.>Later, the newly created choir called "Singing Stars" made up of I and II grade students of the International Cambridge School performed at NSU. congratulated them on the holiday and emphasized that the successes achieved by Nakhchivan State University are a source of pride for every Azerbaijani. The performance of the "NDU KVN" team and the "Yeni il" song of the "Band" group consisting of students of the Faculty of Arts added a special color to the event.

In the "Time Travel" part of the event, the students revived the retro spirit of the 1980s and 1990s and the futuristic spirit of the 2100s.

 Later, the New Year's cake cutting ceremony of Nakhchivan State University was held.

        The holiday program ended with the "Yalli" dance, presenting our national values, at the presentation of Nakhchivan State Technical College under NSU.

      The event was remembered with sincere holiday music, unity and solidarity spirit.
