An event dedicated to "June 26 - Armed Forces Day" was held at Nakhchivan State University, the mini stadium on the university territory was put into use.

First, the dear memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who died for the Motherland was commemorated with a minute of silence, followed by the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan. profile">Nijat Yagubov greeted the participants on behalf of the rector and said that, as in all fields, targeted strategies for the development of sports have been prepared and implemented in the university. The vice-rector noted that the material and technical base in the field of sports is being updated, including the created modern sports infrastructure is made available to student-athletes. He spoke about the history of the establishment of the Azerbaijan Armed Forces and the honorable development path it has taken.

In the artistic part of the event, sports numbers reflecting the spirit of patriotism were demonstrated by the students.

At the end, a mini football game was held between the team of the Faculty of Pedagogy and the national team of the university. The match, which took place in the conditions of intense sports competition, ended with a 4:2 victory for the team of the Pedagogical Faculty.
