An event on "Peace and human rights in the digital environment" was held
On the occasion of September 21 - International Day of Peace, an event on "Digital environment, peace and human rights" was held at Nakhchivan State University.
The purpose of the event organized by the Nakhchivan State University and the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic was to increase digital literacy among young people, promote safe and correct use of the Internet, and strengthen awareness of digital rights and freedoms.
Shabnam Huseynova, an employee of Nakhchivan State University, and Inci Hasanova, an employee of the ministry, spoke at the event and emphasized the importance of protecting human rights in the digital environment, ensuring the security of personal data, strengthening cyber security terms, as well as creating an environment based on mutual respect and healthy communication in the online space.
Within the framework of the event, information was given on the opportunities and challenges created by digital technologies, the digital rights and responsibilities of young people, as well as issues related to information security.
It should be noted that the event was organized within the framework of the "Peace Month" announced by the Human Rights Commissioner (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, covering August 21 - September 21.
