Employees of Nakhchivan State University participated in the conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of independence in Turkey

A conference was held on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic under the organization of the Caucasian and Central Asian Research Center of the Caucasian University located in Kars, Turkey.

At the event, which started with the singing of the national anthems of Turkey and Azerbaijan, the rector of the Kars Caucasus University, professor Husnu Kapu, the director of the Caucasus and Central Asian Research Center, professor Hajali Najafoglu, and the Consul General of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Kars, Nuru Guliyev, spoke. In the panel moderated by Gulusoy, the speeches of Professor Elnur Hasan Mikail, head of the International Relations Chair of the university, employees of Nakhchivan State University, doctor of philosophy Emin Mammadov and professor Sevinj Abbasova were heard.

In the speeches, it was brought to attention that the place and importance of Nakhchivan on the stage of history is not only regional, but also of great importance in terms of international relations. The political processes that took place in the region in the 20th century, bringing the Moscow and Kars agreements to the agenda, finally achieving autonomy on February 9, 1924, the socio-economic rise of Nakhchivan during the past period, and the role of National Leader Heydar Aliyev in the future historical destiny of Nakhchivan and its current development are widely mentioned.

A letter of thanks was presented to the participants at the end of the conference.

Later, a friendly match was held between the futsal teams of Nakhchivan State University and Kars Caucasus University, and a trip to the city of Kars was organized.
