For the first time in the country, Nakhchivan State University accepted students for SABAH groups in the field of Medicine

In a meeting with students admitted to SABAH groups, the rector of Nakhchivan State University Elbrus Isayev noted that the SABAH groups project was established by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated October 24, 2013 on the approval of the "State Strategy for the Development of Education in the Republic of Azerbaijan". One of the priority issues for Nakhchivan State University in the "State Program for the Social-Economic Development of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic for 2023-2027" is the organization of programs with new content (SABAH, etc.) at the university. In connection with the implementation of the State Program, for the first time in our country, in Nakhchivan State University, from the 2024-2025 academic year, SABAH groups in the field of Medicine have started to operate. It was reported that the Medical campus, which will meet the high standards planned to be put into use on the basis of the State Program, will contribute to the training of professional medical personnel in accordance with the requirements of SABAH groups. It was brought to attention that the organization of teaching in SABAH groups will be carried out on the basis of a special curriculum. Thus, on the basis of cooperation agreements with the world's leading universities in the field of medicine, professional doctors are expected to participate in teaching, and at the same time, students' experiences in universities and clinics of other countries will be organized. Elbrus Isayev emphasized that the SABAH groups project will improve the quality of teaching in higher education, create a new and different environment in the higher education system, educate educated, skilled and prepared students, and train personnel in accordance with the increasing demands of the labor market. It was announced that the students of SABAH will have the opportunity to participate in foreign exchange programs, professional experience in modern institutions and companies, progressive forms and methods in the organization of education, dormitory and additional scholarships.  

Later, the book "The sun rising from Ordubad", dedicated to the famous oncologist scientist, academician Rahim Rahimov by the well-known surgeon Jafar Guliyev, was presented to the students.

Let's note that the exams for SABAH groups were carried out in two directions, test and interview stage . 21 people with the highest scores got a chance to participate in the project. Also, the teachers who will teach in the SABAH groups have passed the interview stage in the relevant subjects and specialties and have obtained the right to participate in the project. height="267">
