"Career exhibition 2026" was organized in the city of Nakhchivan in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic by the authorized representation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and the Nakhchivan State University.

The event Samir Seyidahmadli, Deputy Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, who spoke at the opening, said that one of the main directions of the socio-economic policy implemented in the country is to increase employment and develop human capital. Samir Seyidahmadli emphasized that the cooperation between the state, higher education institutions and the private sector plays an important role in ensuring the employment of young people. He drew attention to the importance of forming transparent recruitment mechanisms in the labor market, evaluating candidates based on professional skills, certificates, voluntary activities and individual initiatives, not only on diplomas. He said that the State Program for 2023-2027 is an important strategic document that ensures the sustainable development of the autonomous republic. He emphasized that as a result of the reforms carried out under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, new jobs were created in the autonomous republic, the development of entrepreneurship was supported and important steps were taken to improve the social welfare of citizens. The Prime Minister noted that in order to ensure the employment of unemployed and jobseekers in the autonomous republic, job fairs are organized, vocational training courses are held, self-employment programs are implemented and professional services are provided. He noted that Nakhchivan State University is the largest employer in Nakhchivan and plays an important role in the training of highly qualified personnel. The rector emphasized that consistent work is being done at the university to develop students' practical skills, support their professional formation, and train personnel in accordance with the requirements of the labor market.

Elbrus Isayev also touched on the results of the career fairs organized in previous years and said that in the previous two career fairs, about 200 candidates were provided with jobs.

The Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Nakhchivan Republic, Farid Bagirzade, said that the tasks given by Mr. President Ilham Aliyev regarding the development of the agricultural sector, strengthening of food security and the formation of modern agriculture further increase the demand for highly qualified specialists in this field. The minister emphasized that one of the main tasks facing us today is the preparation of professional human capital that can respond to those challenges and ensuring the successful integration of young people into the labor market. He spoke about the rapid changes in the labor market and the new demands of the business world. He noted that in order to succeed in the labor market of the future, young people should not be satisfied with only theoretical knowledge, but should develop skills such as digital literacy, the ability to work with artificial intelligence tools, communication, leadership, analytical thinking and initiative. Aysel Ersoy, professor of Jarrahpasha and Nakhchivan State University, director of Istanbul University Jarrahpasha - Career Center, emphasized the importance of lifelong learning in the modern era where knowledge is rapidly updated in his speech. The professor noted that the successful specialists of the future will be those who adapt to changes, constantly work on themselves and continue their professional development without interruption. 2066 of them belong to the public sector, and 280 to the private sector. The event served as an important platform for the participants to familiarize themselves with the available opportunities of the labor market, establish direct relationships with employers and plan their future careers. height="300">
