National Music Day was celebrated at Nakhchivan State University

Rector of Nakhchivan State University Elbrus Isayev pointed out that in 1995, by the decree of national leader Heydar Aliyev, the great composer on the eve of the 110th anniversary of his birth, it was decided to celebrate September 18 as National Music Day. It is no coincidence that this decision was made on September 18, on the birthday of Uzeyir Hajibeyli, a genius composer and a luminary of our musical culture. It was noted that Uzeyir Bey, who left an indelible mark on the history of Azerbaijani music, laid the foundation of scientific musicology and music education and led the development of musical culture until the end of his life. Symphony and other large-scale orchestras created by the collectives of the Conservatory and Music College of Nakhchivan State University performed memorable concert programs in the country and in many sister cities of Turkey.
