NDU Rector Elbrus Isayev held a meeting at Hacettepe University, new agreements on joint cooperation were reached

Regarding the projects of which Nakhchivan State University is the main executor under the "State Program for Socio-Economic Development of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic for 2023-2027", Rector Elbrus Isayev, Vice-Rector for International Relations Aida Jalilzade and the chief doctor of NDU Hospital Elmar Rzayev held a meeting at Hacettepe University in Ankara on April 28-29. 

At the meeting held on April 28, Hacettepe University rector Mehmet Cahit Guran expressed his satisfaction with the meeting between the higher education institutions and talked about effective cooperation. In particular, he talked about the work done in the field of medical education and future activities. Rector Mehmet Cahit Güran said that mutual discussions are held to continue cooperation and these meetings are always kept in mind by the rector.   

NDU Rector Elbrus Isayev thanked for the warm welcome, emphasized the importance of mutual activities, said that training in the 4-year "Nursing" specialty created by the joint program and the example of Hacettepe continues successfully. Rector Elbrus Isayev highly appreciated the fact that the "Nursing" specialty of Hacettepe University is always taken into consideration by the "Nursing" faculty of Hacettepe University, and the organization of internships and exchanges of students studying in this specialty at Hacettepe University, the regular involvement of the academic staff of the "Nursing" faculty in the training process of the said specialty at NSU, and the provision of support in the field of programs and textbooks. The rector emphasized that preparations are underway for the dual diploma program in this specialty. The involvement of working doctors in teaching at Nakhchivan State University, examination and operations in autonomous republic hospitals was among the discussed directions. At the same time, within the framework of the "Nurses' Development Program", issues such as the involvement of 50 student-teachers in teaching and hospitals in Hacettepe as observers to the professional development programs of nurses operating in autonomous republican hospitals at the "Lifelong Learning Center", and the organization of short-term improvement programs in Hacettepe were discussed. Also, support of Hacettepe in improving the teaching programs of NSU Medical College, involvement of graduates of NSU medical faculty who graduated with excellent grades in advanced training and residency training at Hacettepe University, organization of joint symposium, conferences and events, and creation of working and research groups were among the issues discussed at the meeting. 

The meeting was attended by Ms. Najiba Nasibova, adviser on educational issues of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Republic of Turkey.  

Let us note that on April 29, there were further meetings between the NSU delegation and several faculties of Hacettepe University. Many topics were discussed in the "Nursing", "Dentistry" and "Medicine" faculties. Mutual agreements were reached on "Nursing work", improvement of teaching programs in "Stomatology", academic support, involvement of Hacettepe professors and doctors in teaching at NSU, organization of hybrid classes and other issues.
