NSU Rector Elbrus Isayev met with teachers and students of the Faculty of Arts on the occasion of "National Music Day".

At the meeting, Rector of the University Elbrus Isayev congratulated the participants on the occasion of "National Music Day" and said that September 18 is one of the most special and significant days of Azerbaijani musical culture. Today is the birthday of Uzeyir Hajibeyli, a genius composer and the founder of the Azerbaijan school of composition. The rector noted that the 140th anniversary of the composer's birth is being celebrated at a high level across the country by the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev dated February 3, 2025. On this occasion, it is planned to hold a wide range of concert programs at the higher education institution until the end of the year.

Elbrus Isayev emphasized that the improvement of the quality of teaching at the Conservatory of NSU is always taken into account, regularly organizing concerts with the participation of teachers and students, and inviting well-known people who contribute to music culture to the university is traditional. Also, the students' activity is monitored, in this direction, it is planned to establish special scholarships for students who stand out with their educational achievements in the future. Thus, both musical and general creative activities of young people are supported and stimulated.
