NSU Rector Elbrus Isayev participated in the 1st International Medical Congress of Turkic-Speaking Countries in Northern Cyprus
On October 16-19, 2025, the 1st International Medical Congress of Turkic-Speaking States (TURKTIP2025) was held in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. The congress was organized with the aim of sharing the medical experiences of specialists from Turkic-speaking countries and increasing relations between institutions.
The participation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Turkey, Professor Kemal Memisoglu, the Minister of Health of the TRNC, Dr. Kemal Dinçyurek, and university rectors In addition to Azerbaijan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, TRNC, educational institutions, associations and societies of a number of other countries that prepare medical staff were represented at the congress held in Rector of Nakhchivan State University Elbrus Isayev and the delegation also participated in the congress. Elbrus Isayev spoke at the opening event and panel discussions of the Congress.
It was established and gathered at the 1st Medical Forum held in Nakhchivan. This initiative was especially important in terms of the gathering of medical specialists from Turkic-speaking countries. This association, which started in Nakhchivan, was later continued with the II Medical Forum held at Yeditepe University in Istanbul, Turkey, and the III Medical Forum held in Samarkand, Uzbekistan in 2025. As a result, platforms of this type have created the ground for the enthusiastic participation of specialists from all Turkic-speaking countries in such events. He spoke about the exemplary cooperation relations established with the universities and hospitals of the Republic. In terms of student mobility and the implementation of dual diploma programs, the Rector called for the introduction of unified medical education programs in the universities of Turkic-speaking countries, the creation of joint scientific research groups, and the establishment of a joint medical journal with a high impact factor on behalf of the Universities of the Turkic States.
