NSU signed a new collaboration in the field of molecular biology

A memorandum of cooperation was signed between Nakhchivan State University and AR ETN Institute of Molecular Biology. The memorandum covers the development of scientific and research activities, training of highly qualified personnel, implementation of innovative projects, creation of joint laboratories, preparation of joint scientific publications, organization of conferences, seminars and trainings. they will work together in the field of organizing courses.

The document was signed by Rector of Nakhchivan State University Elbrus Isayev and Director of AR ETN Molecular Biology Institute Irada Huseynova.

Rector of Nakhchivan State University Elbrus Isayev, who spoke at the event dedicated to the signing of the agreement, said that one of the priority directions is to expand the university's cooperation in the field of science and education. The rector noted that the Institute of Molecular Biology has rich scientific potential as one of the country's leading scientific research institutions. He emphasized that combining the institute's scientific capabilities with the solid science and teaching base formed in NSU in the fields of biology, biochemistry, chemical engineering and other natural sciences will create new cooperation prospects for both sides. He said that the institute conducts important researches in the fields of food safety, molecular biology, biotechnology and plant genetics, international cooperation is successfully continued and five international laboratories are operating.

Irada Huseynova talked about the researches carried out in the directions of studying the photosynthesis process, efficient use of solar energy, investigating the effects of global climate changes and creating productive wheat varieties. The academician emphasized that Nakhchivan's rich resources of medicinal plants create wide opportunities for joint scientific research.

In the speeches, the importance of expanding research in the field of natural sciences, strengthening international cooperation and more efficient use of the scientific potential of the region was mentioned. It was stated that cooperation will make an important contribution to the implementation of new scientific projects and innovative initiatives in the future.
