People's artist Mansum Ibrahimova was presented with the diploma "Honorary Professor of Nakhchivan State University".

On October 8, Rector of Nakhchivan State University Elbrus Isayev met with People's Artist Mansum Ibrahimov and the delegation that will perform a concert program in Nakhchivan as part of the artist's 65th anniversary.

People's Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan Elchin Hashimov, Honored Artists Elnur Ahmadov, Nuriya Huseynova, Tayyar Bayramov, Elnur Zeynalov, Mugam Television contest winner Gullu Muradova, winner of the same contest Gulzar Farajova, and university leaders took part in the meeting.

Rector Elbrus Isayev greeted the guests and thanked them for accepting the invitation and participating. The rector congratulated professor Mansum Ibrahimov with the Order of Glory and Honor on his 65th anniversary and talked about the artist's exceptional services in the development of Azerbaijani mugham art. Elbrus Isayev reminded that the People's Artist was a guest at the University many times, he met with the professors and teachers of the valuable artist, and pointed out that the University Conservatory provided free support in staff training and held master classes. It was emphasized that Mansum Ibrahimov has special services in the development of Azerbaijani mugham, and his rich performance school, young singers trained by a master artist are of special importance for the future of our national music culture. The meeting with Mansum Ibrahimov, professor of the conservatory and head of the Mugham Department, at the higher education institution was a special and memorable date. "Mugham is cultural music, and we have been the voice of our country, Karabakh in art for many years," the artist said, noting that he was very happy to organize such a meeting at a higher educational institution. Mansum Ibrahimov, who said that it was a great honor to have a share in the training of the singers of the winning country, said: "There are many great values that bind me to Nakhchivan".

Rector Elbrus Isayev said that our national values and the artists who live them are always considered at the university  and by the decision of the Scientific Council of the higher education institution, the great artist Mansum Ibrahimova was presented with the diploma of "Honorary Professor of Nakhchivan State University", and as a souvenir of the meeting, he presented an oil painting of the national musical instruments of Azerbaijan.

Let's note that a concert program dedicated to the 65th anniversary of People's Artist Mansum Ibrahimov will be presented at Heydar Aliyev Palace at the end of the day at the invitation and organization of Nakhchivan State University.
