Rector of NSU Elbrus Isayev held a briefing for the media about the III festival-congress "Return to Western Azerbaijan"

                Rector of Nakhchivan State University Elbrus Isayev held a briefing for media representatives about the III festival-congress "Return to Western Azerbaijan" and gave extensive information about the purpose, importance and program of the event.  

            It was noted that the next stage of the "Return to Western Azerbaijan" festival-congress, which was held first in Nakhchivan city and second in Batabat plateau, will be organized in Ordubad region. It was brought to attention that the conferences and scientific sessions held in previous years formed an important scientific base in this field and created conditions for the emergence of new research directions. It was reported that those events aroused wide interest in both the academic and cultural environment and made an important contribution to the deeper investigation of the historical and cultural heritage of Western Azerbaijan. Rector emphasized that the "Return to Western Azerbaijan" festival-congress has reached more than 20,000 participants in various formats.

              It was stated that the event organized in accordance with the political line defined by Mr. President Ilham Aliyev is important in terms of researching the historical truths of Western Azerbaijan on scientific basis, protecting the national-cultural heritage and passing it on to future generations.

              The Rector noted that scientists, researchers, state officials, MPs, artists representing universities of Azerbaijan and foreign countries are expected to participate in the event, which will be jointly organized by the Authorized Representation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Nakhchivan State University and the West Azerbaijan Community.

                  During the briefing, information was also given on the scientific conference, exhibitions, cultural programs and technological innovations to be held within the framework of the festival-congress. It was pointed out that one of the main innovations of the event will be a virtual trip to Western Azerbaijan. The scientific direction on the topic "Digital world and Western Azerbaijan" was specially emphasized as a novelty of the congress.
