OBITUARY
Azerbaijan suffered a heavy loss to science and education. Mirishli, son of Faig Agil, who was engaged in effective pedagogical and scientific activities at Nakhchivan State University for a long time, died at the age of 85. Born in 1939, the prolific scientist devoted a large part of his life to the development of physical science in Azerbaijan and contributed to the country's science with his valuable scientific research. The results of his research in the field of magnetoelectrics in solid state physics were accepted worldwide, he also worked out the criteria for the formation of spontaneously polarized crystals, and for the first time systematically studied the structure of magnetomagnetic crystals with more than 20 layers.
Faig Agil oglu Mirishli worked effectively in the field of management in addition to scientific and pedagogical activities at Nakhchivan State University, and was remembered for his exemplary services in the development of the higher education institution. In 1992-1997, he worked effectively in various positions as vice-rector for work with correspondence students at Nakhchivan State University, and in 1997-2007, he was the head of the "Physics and Radioelectronics" department. Faig Mirishli also distinguished himself in the field of personnel training at the university, and as a result of his caring attitude in the field of education of scientific-level personnel, he won the love and sympathy of the university professors and teaching staff as well as the students.
Faig Mirishli received a doctorate in physics and mathematics, the scientific degree and title of associate professor, and was awarded the Scholarship of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. expresses his sadness, expresses deep condolences to the family and relatives of the deceased.
