Science and music on the same stage: Umut Yıldız in Nakhchivan at the invitation of NSU

On December 18, at the invitation and organization of Nakhchivan State University, the world-famous Turkish astrophysicist Umut Yildiz visited Nakhchivan for the first time. Umut Yıldız shared his scientific knowledge about the planets and the universe from the stage against the background of the concert program "Sound of the Cosmos" performed by the Symphony Orchestra of Nakhchivan State University at the Heydar Aliyev Palace in Nakhchivan. staff, students, public representatives, as well as a number of well-known persons participated.

The concert reflecting the unity of science and art was performed by the Symphony Orchestra of Nakhchivan State University. The artistic director and conductor of the concert was Samad Asgarov, Honored Artist of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, teacher of the university. Within the program, the works "Mars - Bringer of War", "Venus - Bringer of Peace", "Mercury - Winged Messenger", "Jupiter - Bringer of Joy", "Saturn - Bringer of Old Age", "Uranus - Magician" and "Neptune - Mystic" were played. and cosmic themes were brought together, and the listeners were presented with an artistic composition dedicated to the universe accompanied by symphonic music. The participants of the event listened to scientific explanations about the little-known aspects of the cosmos and got interesting information based on real experiences.

The concert program called "The Voice of Space" was remembered for conveying scientific knowledge to a wide audience through the language of music, especially for increasing interest in science and classical music among young people. The event was evaluated as a memorable event in the cultural life of Nakhchivan.

At the end of the event, the head of Nakhchivan City Executive Authority, Jabbar Musayev, gave a speech and evaluated the event of special importance as the unity of science and culture. Mukhtar emphasized the importance of such events for the residents of the autonomous republic in terms of intellectual and cultural development. Jabbar Musayev specially thanked those who contributed to the organization of the event - NSU Rector Elbrus Isayev, NSU Symphony Orchestra and Umut Yıldız. The rector emphasized that such meetings make an important contribution to the expansion of students' outlook and the formation of interest in research. Elbrus Isayev highly valued the performance of the University Symphony Orchestra and thanked Umut Yıldız for sharing his valuable knowledge and experience with the Nakhchivan community.>It should be noted that Umut Yıldız graduated from Ankara University majoring in Astronomy and Space Sciences, completed his master's degree at Groningen University in the Netherlands, and completed his doctoral studies at the Leiden Observatory of Leiden University. The scientist worked for many years at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory and currently works at the Middle East Technical University.
