Study opportunity in Europe for Nakhchivan State University students
Nakhchivan State University has taken another important step in the field of international educational cooperation and started a dual diploma program jointly with Hungary's John Von Neumann University. Within the framework of the program, starting from the 2025-2026 academic year, students will be admitted to the Computer Engineering major, taught in English.
Students will continue a certain part of their studies within the framework of this program at the John Von Neumann University located in Hungary, as a result of which both Nakhchivan State University and they will also receive diplomas from the leading higher education institution of Hungary. The program will be implemented in the 3+1 format, so students admitted to Nakhchivan State University will study the 1st, 2nd and 4th courses at Nakhchivan State University, and the 3rd course at John Von Neumann University. This study opportunity is based on a double degree agreement between John von Neumann University of Hungary and NSU on October 25, 2024, at the bachelor's degree in computer engineering (taught in English). The dual diploma, being a new stage in the integration of Azerbaijan's educational space into Europe, will create conditions for the formation of students participating in this program as competitive specialists at both the local and international level. Because John Von Neumann University of Hungary is one of the world-renowned educational institutions in the field of engineering and information technologies. The university's close ties with industry, the Eurasian Knowledge Center, specialized centers for Defense Industry and Animation provide opportunities for students to participate in real projects and experience programs. Most importantly, studying at one of the world-renowned universities offers students new opportunities for international career paths. At the same time, the dual degree program provides not only academic education, but also student and teacher exchange, joint research projects, access to innovative technologies, and professional development opportunities. Students admitted to Nakhchivan State University within the framework of the program continue their studies at Chankırı Karatekin Universityfrom the 2024/2025 academic year. This program is implemented in 2+2 format.
