The 1st Republican Scientific Conference "Organic and Sustainable Agriculture: Ecological Balance and Sustainable Development" was held at NSU

          On June 4, it will last two days at Nakhchivan State University  "Organic and Sustainable Agriculture: Ecological balance and sustainable development"  It was the opening event of the I Republican Scientific Conference.

First, the dear memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and our martyrs was commemorated with a minute of silence, and the National Anthem was played.

Rector Elbrus Isayev, who opened the event with an introductory speech, said that global climate changes in modern times, especially in agriculture, create a need for new approaches and research. He noted that the promotion of organic products in the direction of agriculture in the "State Program for the socio-economic development of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic for 2023-2027" is the main subject of discussion at today's conference. The rector emphasized that the conference was meant to enrich traditional agricultural areas from a scientific point of view. At the same time, he said that the event played an important role in directing the attention of students, young researchers, and specialists to environmentally sustainable production methods. It was added that an exhibition of organic products will be held at the conference in the future.

The Minister of Agriculture of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Rafail Guliyev and the Minister of Economy of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Kazim Huseynaliyev addressed the conference on a very relevant topic. said that it was done, they highly valued this initiative of the university. 

Later at the conference  Director General of ARETN Institute of Botany, Professor Sayyare Ibadullayeva, Director General of Scientific Research Institute of Plant Protection and Technical Plants of AR KTN, Corresponding Member of ANAS Ibrahim Jafarov, General Director of ARETN Institute of Genetic Resources Correspondent of ANAS member Zeynal Akbarov and Chairman of the Board of Azerbaijan Poultry, Egg Producers and Exporters Association (APEPEA) Murvat Hasanli spoke. Speakers of the conference said that there are high expectations for the production of organic products in terms of the geographical climate and agricultural traditions of Nakhchivan, and they drew attention to the importance of scientific research and suggestions in this matter throughout the country.    thanks were given.

The opening event of the conference held at the International Cambridge School of NSU  continued with the demonstration of the artistic part at the Faculty of Arts of the university.

Let's note that a total of 26 organizations from various higher education, research and application-oriented institutions of our country, Turkey, and Norway joined the conference. 108 scientific articles were presented by 172 scientists. The conference will be continued in 4 panels organized in 4 main directions on June 4-5.
