The 2nd international scientific conference "Artificial intelligence: from theory to practice" was held at NSU, for the first time a female robot moderator made a presentation

Before the conference, there was a preview of the collection of creative examples made by the students of the university's Faculty of Architecture and Engineering with the artificial intelligence program. At the exhibition, moderator robot "Banu", robot arm controlled by radio signal, modern customs system, CNC printer - laser, defense system for military industry, artist printer, smart house, smart city, prototype tram for NDU, smart parking, smart car parking, smart glasses, artificial intelligence model - software, a device that produces filament from waste containers were displayed. 

II International Scientific Conference "Artificial intelligence: from theory to practice" started with watching a video about the application of artificial intelligence systems in various fields. Nakhchivan State University, ARETN Institute of Management Systems, Istanbul University of Turkey - Jarrahpaşa, Duzce University, Gümüşhane University, Russia's "Janub" University jointly organized it. The National Anthem was played. In this sense, the conference is an important platform for researchers to create an opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience, as well as to lay the foundation for new research directions. Because, in the future, it is a successful initiative to conduct research in this field, train personnel, and become a participant in the formation of the artificial intelligence ecosystem. Elbrus Isayev noted that artificial intelligence has already been diversified as an elective subject in the specialties taught at the university. This remarkable event, held over two days, has a special significance. "Like last year, we will host the second conference this year to develop cooperation between researchers from different countries, scientific innovations will be shared with a wide audience. It will also encourage young researchers to engage in scientific activities and create conditions for their further specialization in the field of artificial intelligence," said the rector. The university closely cooperates with the ministry and provides its students with new experiences. The exhibition and conference, in turn, publicize the new management and new vision model of artificial intelligence with its rich program and play a special role in education. talked about the development of penetrating artificial intelligence technologies, spoke about the tasks arising from the "Artificial Intelligence Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2025-2028" approved by the Decree of President Ilham Aliyev dated March 19, 2025. evaluated and said that it will make an important contribution to the further development of artificial intelligence technologies, the application of innovations and the strengthening of the scientific community. At the same time, he emphasized that articles and theses prepared in accordance with scientific ethical principles are of special importance as a valuable source. Academician Ali Abbasov noted that the university's high level of organization in such a responsible work is commendable.

The rector of Turkey's Istanbul University - Jarrahpaşa, professor Nuri Aydın, the rector of Russia's "Janub" University, professor Imran Akbarov, the rector of Gümüşhane University, professor Oktay Yıldız made a report. Speakers called the conference an important platform to exchange scientific ideas covering theoretical and technical aspects of artificial intelligence. They appreciated the university's hosting of intellectually initiative projects and expressed their satisfaction with the participation in the conference.

After the opening event, the conference continued its work with section meetings. On May 26-27, there will be speeches in 4 halls and 26 panels with face-to-face and online (hybrid) participation of researchers from scientific and educational institutions of Azerbaijan and different countries of the world at the two-day section meetings. Reports on 210 studies will be heard by 282 contributors from 59 organizations. Certificates will be presented to the participants at the end of the conference. Let us emphasize that representatives from 33 scientific and educational institutions of Azerbaijan are participating in the conference. Articles submitted to the II International Scientific Conference "Artificial Intelligence: From Theory to Practice", which have passed peer review, received positive reviews and met the conditions of the journals, will be published in full-text format through the review process of Electrica based on Scopus and other indexed international journals.
