The 65th anniversary of People's Artist Mansum Ibrahimov was celebrated with a concert program in Nakhchivan

A concert program dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the People's Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan, singer with "Fame" and "Honor" orders, Professor Mansum Ibrahimov, was presented at the Heydar Aliyev Palace in Nakhchivan on October 8.

The concert program was attended by state and government officials, deputies of the Supreme Assembly, martyrs' families, veterans, cultural and artistic figures, employees of the Union of Writers and other organizations, intellectuals and the city community as guests.

First, a video depicting the life and stage activities of People's Artist Mansum Ibrahimov was shown.

In the official part of the event, Rector of Nakhchivan State University Elbrus Isayev People's Artist Mansum congratulated Ibrahimov on the occasion of his 65th anniversary and talked about the artist's rich contributions to the musical culture of Azerbaijan.  He pointed out that the "Honorary Professor" diploma was presented by the decision of the Scientific Council of the University to the outstanding artist who was deemed worthy of the highest awards of the state. Elbrus Isayev commemorative plaque from the jubilee meeting and NDU Conservatory's "Ancient musical instruments presented the ancient musical instrument "Chogur" made in his workshop.

Prominent representative of Mugham art, four times recipient of the Presidential Award in 2024, "100 years of Heydar Aliyev" (1923-2023)" jubilee medal, the artist who was awarded the title of "Living Human Treasure" at the UNESCO level Mansum Ibrahimov talked about the state support for the development and promotion of mugham art. The artist especially noted the exceptional role of big projects implemented by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, mugam competitions and "today, mugam is experiencing a new era" - he said. Yubilyar Nakhchivan expressed his love for his audience and expressed his satisfaction to be here and expressed his gratitude to the organizers and participants of the event. Musical numbers performed by Tayyar Bayramov, Elnur Zeynalov, Mugam Television competition winner Güllü Muradova and the same competition laureate Gulzar Farajova were heard. Also, young and talented teachers of NSU, accompanied by Najaf Hajili on percussion instruments, Munis Aliyev on drums and Sakhavat Rahimov on synthesizer, performed a rich variety of folk songs and pieces from mughams in the repertoire of artist Mansum Ibarhimov.
