The books of the world-famous Hungarian writer and statesman Sandor Lejak were presented at NSU

On May 13, the vice-chairman of the Hungarian National Assembly, world-famous writer Sandor Lejak visited Nakhchivan State University. Within the framework of the two-day visit, the presentation of the writer's books was first held in the Scientific Library of the university. The event was attended by the ambassador of Hungary to our country, the management and staff of John von Neumann University and TURKSOY, the delegation of Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, members of parliament, writers, the management of Nakhchivan State University, professors and teachers.  It was noted that Azerbaijan and Hungary are friendly countries. Our countries have high-level relations based on mutual trust and support in all areas. In this regard, the rector drew attention to the essence of the meeting and called Sandor Lejak's arrival at the university a very important and long-awaited significant meeting. He noted that it is a great responsibility and honor to welcome such prestigious guests and talked about his visit to Hungary last year. Within the framework of the visit, the rector mentioned the signing of the double degree agreement between John von Neumann University and NSU with the support and initiative of Sandor Lejak and expressed his gratitude for his participation in today's meeting. Elbrus Isayev evaluated the presentation of Shandor Lejak's books at the higher educational institution as an important event. He emphasized that the writer has a unique influence and signature on the literary thought, treasury of ideas and words of the nation to which he belongs. At the same time, he added that donating his works to the library fund of the university is a great contribution.

He noted that Hungary actively participates in the activities of the organization, and that there are close scientific and cultural relations between the parties. He expressed his pleasure to be at such a special event at NSU together with a valuable friend of the TURKSOY organization, Şandor Lejak, and noted that the meeting was of great importance. Vice-rector for international relations of Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, Professor Mahira Naghigizi and Chairman of Writers Union of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Asim Yadigar spoke. The speakers evaluated the writer's participation in the presentation of his books and the meeting with Sandor Lejak as a memorable event for them. He said that there is active cooperation between Azerbaijan and Hungary in all fields and it is developing. He expressed his high opinion about the meeting and shared special memories of his life and activities with the event participants. The writer brought to attention the information about the works included in his books, in particular he talked about the process of writing the work "Breath for Life", and noted that he is looking forward to watching the play based on the work.

Then there was a viewing of the exhibition in the Scientific Library, which includes books by Şandor Lejak and examples of literature from the Turkish world. General Secretary of TURKSOY Sultan Raev presented books to the Scientific Library of the university. Ancient national musical instruments made at the NDU Musical Instruments Workshop were presented. A wide concert program performed by the "Ancient folk instruments" ensemble of NSU left a pleasant impression on the guests.

Let us note that the next day is May 14 The play of the same name prepared by the Student Theater Studio of NSU based on the writer's work "Breath for Life" will be premiered.
