The Chess Championship dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic was opened

XVI inter-student chess championship dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the autonomous republic was held at Nakhchivan State University.

       At the championship, Arzu Abdullayev, vice-rector for social issues and public relations of the university, chairman of the sports club Mammadali Rahimov, head teacher of the chair of physical education and sports, also the referee of the championship Kifayat Huseynova informed the students about the rules of the game and wished them success.

          In general Teams from the University's Music College, Technical College, and Medical College participated in the championship, which was attended by 12 teams.

          At the end of intense matches, the Pedagogical Faculty team won the 1st place.

          The Faculty of Foreign Languages took the II place, the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Agriculture took the III place, and the Medical College team took the IV place.
