The city of the future was formed at the Smart City Challenge idea marathon

Nakhchivan State University Innovation Center student-oriented, innovative "Smart City Challenge” IDEATONU held.

NDU In the event organized by the technological transfer and innovation sector and the Azerbaijan Innovation Center, the goal was to identify existing problems in the urban environment, to form creative ideas aimed at solving them with innovative approaches, as well as to develop analytical thinking, teamwork and technological skills in students. More than 70 students studying in various specialties applied to the two-day ideaton organized within the framework of competitions aimed at forming the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem at the university. 41 students in 10 teams competed with their counterparts.

On the first day of Ideaton, with the support of mentors, students were trained to develop their ideas and create result-oriented projects by establishing cooperative relations. At this time, the students were taught the differences between work and entrepreneurship, means of realizing ideas, presentation skills, marketing and other directions. The mentors, who set themselves the goals of increasing interest in entrepreneurship among young people, transferring ideas to writing, exchanging business information, and confidently implementing ideas, followed the work process of the participants during the day.

On the second day of Ideaton, participants who demonstrated the power of innovative and creative thinking, as well as teamwork, fought for the first place in front of the jury with their presentations. Challenges, possibilities and opportunities that the leading entrepreneurs of the future may face were discussed with reference to the presentations in the technological competition that instills the culture of innovation. The participants developed new solution concepts for the smart city ecosystem in areas such as digital services, transport and mobility, energy efficiency, environmental sustainability, urban infrastructure, smart parking, smart medical center. The competitive struggle of teams such as "T4C", "Innovatika", "City Guard", "Soft Nova", "Nova", "InfraX" ended with the determination of the winners.
