The closing event of the international scientific conference "Physiology and health in the modern era: research priorities and perspectives" was held at Nakhchivan State University.

Conference at Nakhchivan State University dedicated to the "Year of Solidarity for the Green World" and the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Nakhchivan State University, Institute of Physiology named after Academician Abdulla Garayev of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Institute of Physics, Society of Azerbaijan Physiologists, and Azerbaijan It was jointly organized by the Society of Gerontologists. It should be noted that the first part of the conference was held in Baku on December 18-19, 2024.

Before the closing ceremony, the conference participants laid flowers in front of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev's monument in Nakhchivan and visited the Heydar Aliyev Museum. Later, during a tour of the university campus, they got acquainted with the scientific and research resources conducted in the laboratories and cabins of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Agriculture, the Veterinary Medicine Clinic, the University Hospital and the Faculty of Medicine. gave detailed information about the development stages of the university, personnel training in the field of medicine and the current research environment. Also, the rector spoke about the importance of the "State Program for the socio-economic development of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic" covering the years 2023-2027 for the development of the Faculty of Medicine, which was established at the initiative of National Leader Heydar Aliyev. Director General of the Institute of Physics, Academician Arif Hashimov, Director General of the Institute of Physiology named after Academician A. Garayev, Professor Ulduz Hashimova, Director of the Scientific-Research Institute of Spatology and Medical Rehabilitation of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, at the same time President of the National Resort Association of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Professor Sayagul Kairgeldina, Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation of Nakhchivan State University, Associate Professor Elsever Asadov during their speeches, they shared their views on the practical importance of modern scientific research, opportunities for international cooperation and the contribution of the results of the event to future research

End Within the framework of the event, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between Nakhchivan State University and the Institute of Physiology of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Scientific-Research Kurotology and Medical Rehabilitation Institute of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The memorandum of cooperation signed between Nakhchivan State University and the Institute of Physiology of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan envisages mutual exchange of academic and research staff, conducting scientific research jointly with the Institute of Physics, creation of a modern laboratory on the university base and equipping it with equipment.

At the same time, the memorandum signed between Nakhchivan State University and the Scientific-Research Resortology and Medical Rehabilitation Institute of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan deals with the development of international cooperation, the application of innovative methods in the resort-sanatorium sector, the organization of joint scientific forums and the expansion of research activities.
