The first IELTS exam of 2025 was held at Nakhchivan State University

The IELTS registration and examination center of Nakhchivan State University, which has been operating since 2022, is the first such example among Azerbaijan's higher education institutions. In addition to ensuring the assessment of English language skills according to international standards, the center provides candidates with globally recognized certificates. It also plays an important role in internal accreditation and attestation processes. Since the beginning of its activity, 11 exams have been held by the center and more than 250 participants took part in these exams, most of them are teachers and students of the university. The exam was held for both General IELTS and Academic IELTS, and a total of 19 people participated. Candidates' listening, reading and writing skills were assessed on January 15, and speaking skills on January 16. Questions for the reading and listening sections of the exam have been developed by the British Council. The preparation of the materials used in the writing and speaking stages was also the responsibility of this institution. refunds will be provided to those who have a minimum overall average of 6.5 points and above. This activity will contribute to the opening of more and more English language majors in the university in the future, as well as to the development of human resources.
