The III International Symposium on "Role of Technoparks in Education and Economic Development" was held at Nakhchivan State University
On December 16, the III International Symposium on "Role of Technoparks in Education and Economic Development" was opened under the organization of Nakhchivan State University, in partnership with a number of advanced universities and technoparks of Turkey.
The aim of the symposium is to discuss the role of technology parks in the modern education system and economic development on a scientific basis, to share international experience and to evaluate new opportunities for cooperation.
Nakhchivan State University Rector Elbrus Isayev said in his opening speech that the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan's "Exemplary Decision on Technology Park The Decree on the approval of the "Regulation" defined the basic framework of state policy in this area. The rector noted that although technology parks are widely used in world universities, they are a new and strategically important direction for Azerbaijan's higher education system. In this regard, the study of international experience is considered a priority. Elbrus Isayev emphasized that Nakhchivan State University is studying the technology park experience of the leading universities of Turkey, for this purpose mutual visits were made and there was an on-site acquaintance with the activities of prestigious technology parks. The Rector said that work on the creation of a Technology Park on a four-hectare area of the university has been started, and the design phase has been completed. The rector added that the Innovation Center operating on the university territory will play an important role in training new innovators and supporting the activity of the technopark.
Dean of the Faculty of Economics of Istanbul University of the Republic of Turkey, Professor Mahmut Cuneyt Yenigün, speaking at the symposium, said that universities play the main coordinating role between the state, industry and economy. The professor noted that technoparks are an important mechanism for the transformation of scientific research results into practical application and economic value.
Tülin Öztürk, professor of Istanbul University-Carrahpaşa, touched on the role of technoparks in the field of medicine, and stressed that the scientific research conducted in this direction enables the creation of innovative products.
At the event, the dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management of Nakhchivan State University Ashraf Alekbarov, associate professor of Duzce University Özkan Şahin, associate professor of Harran University Hasan Bardakçı, associate professor of Azerbaijan Tourism and Management University Vugar Nazarov, deputy director of TUBITAK MARTEK Technopark Deniz Yayla, director of Entertech Istanbul Technopark Muhammed Kasapoglu, director of Duzce Technopark, professor Resul Kara and director of Zonguldak Technopark Ferdi Kesikoglu were heard.
The symposium continued its work with section meetings. More than 150 scientific reports on 15 panels were presented in five halls. About 30 representatives of scientific and educational institutions, including 10 from foreign countries, participated in the event. >Certificates will be presented to speakers at the two-day symposium.
