The initiatives of Nakhchivan State University were appreciated at the meeting of "Nakhchivan Martyrs' Families" Public Union on the results of 2024

State and government representatives, family members of martyrs, media representatives and young volunteers took part in the event organized in Nakhchivan Business Center.

Uzeyir Mammadov, the founder of the "Nakhchivan Martyrs' Families" Public Union, deputy of the Supreme Majlis, informed the participants about the history of the union and its activities.

Mais Gulmammadov, the chairman of "Nakhchivan Martyrs' Families" Public Union, said that in 2024, a total of 24 events were held. 12 of these events are dedicated to celebrating the birthdays of our martyrs in the last ten days of every month. Mais Gulmammadov noted that Nakhchivan State University provided great support in the creation of these events and actively participated in joint projects in order to honor the memory of the martyrs and strengthen the students' feelings of patriotism. He promised Isayev. In his speech, the Rector emphasized the importance of the university's initiatives in the direction of protecting national values ​​and supporting the families of martyrs. He said that the university staff is particularly sensitive to the problems of the families of martyrs, mobilizes all its resources to meet their needs and strengthen the spirit of patriotism among young people. Evaluating the support of the families of martyrs as a moral obligation and a historical duty of our nation, the rector emphasized that the activities in this field will be continued. He was awarded with an honorary membership card of "Nakhchivan Martyrs' Families" Public Union. At the same time, letters of thanks were presented to a group of employees and students of Nakhchivan State University. Chairman of the Trade Union Committee of the University Nicat Yagubov, Head of the "Theatre and Cultural Studies" chair of the Faculty of Arts, Gulkhara Ahmadova,   associate professor of the "Orchestral Instruments and Conducting" department, Valida Huseynova, teacher of the "Piano" department Faridah Aghayeva and a group of students of the university were awarded with letters of thanks for their activity in organizing the event and social activities.

At the end of the event, the participants were informed about the events planned by the "Nakhchivan Martyrs' Families" Public Union in 2025. It was reported that the initiative and participation of Nakhchivan State University will continue in these events.
