The Nakhchivan Innovation Center was opened at NSU and the 1st International Scientific Conference on "Innovation and sustainable development, new ideas and solutions" began.
On October 1, the opening ceremony of the Nakhchivan Innovation Center was held at the Nakhchivan State University (NDU) under the joint initiative of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IRIA) and the University.
First, the memory of our martyrs who died for the Motherland was commemorated with a minute of silence, the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played, and a video called "Innovative technologies" was shown. He evaluated the Nakhchivan Innovation Center as a requirement of the time and a development criterion in terms of the application of modern technologies and teaching methods in the realization of innovative ideas of students. Also, he added that the Center will stimulate the potential of innovative approach not only for NSU, but for the region as a whole. This center also started its activity at Nakhchivan State University for the first time among Azerbaijan's higher education institutions. He also said that these centers are not only buildings and laboratories, but places where ideas are born, knowledge is shared and innovation culture is formed. Farid Osmanov said: "Cooperation will be one of the main directions of this center. Scientific projects with universities, technology transfer with companies, incubation and acceleration programs for startups, STEAM initiatives with state institutions and access to international grant programs will be part of the activities of this Center."

After the opening ceremony of the center, the 1st International Scientific Conference on "Innovation and sustainable development, new ideas and solutions", which will cover October 1-2, has started its work. The conference received more than 500 applications, theses of 413 participants were accepted for oral presentation, so speakers from 71 institutions, including 11 foreign ones, will speak at the conference. Speakers from 61 enterprises operating in different regions of Azerbaijan will be heard at the section meetings.
