The "Starting Conference of scientific research works conducted along the TEC line in the 2025-2026 academic year" was held at NSU

          Nakhchivan State University "Starting Conference of scientific research works carried out in 2025-2026 academic year along the TEC line" took place.

First, there was a viewing of the exhibition of handicrafts, paintings, samples of national cuisine, as well as various start-up projects prepared by students of the Faculty of Arts of NSU. His memory was commemorated with a minute of silence. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played.

Elbrus Isayev, rector of the higher education institution, opened the event with an introductory speech and said that the scientific activity of students in recent years is satisfactory both in terms of quantity and quality in relation to the number of students. Emphasizing that TEC enters a new stage of development every year, the rector assessed the fact that students have already turned their scientific achievements into a startup as a great success. The rector, who pointed out the upcoming tasks and tasks related to the development of scientific activity, thanked all the research students and their scientific supervisors and wished them success. He said that 1751 scientific research works were conducted by 1775 students at Nakhchivan State University in the 2025-2026 academic year. This indicator is equal to 24.2% of full-time students studying at the university. Looking at the last 6 years, the number of students engaged in scientific activity has increased up to 3 times. According to the gender category, 72.56% of the 1775 students engaged in scientific research in the 2025-2026 academic year are women, and 27.44% are men. The faculty with the largest number of students conducting scientific research is the Faculty of Medicine with 228 students, and the chair with the largest number of students conducting scientific research is the "Clinical Sciences and Military Medicine" department with 78 students. 66 of the students engaged in scientific research are foreign students. In the first 4 months of 2026, the articles of 3 students (State and public relations, Medicine (taught in English) and Chemistry) were indexed in Scopus and Web of Science elemmetric databases.

Then Gulnar Jabbarova, a third-year student majoring in "Economics (teaching in English)" presented her scientific research work on "Directions for optimizing the entrepreneurial environment in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic" and presented the Nakhchivan entrepreneurship map she prepared to the rector.

 Scientific-practical reports of Leyla Suleymanli, IV year student majoring in "Land structure and real estate cadastre" on "Functional planning of the Nakhchivan State University campus: GIS-based mapping and 3D modeling of real estate objects, green areas and transport infrastructure" and Shahmurad Rustamov, III year student majoring in "Chemistry" "Research of factors affecting the construction and efficiency of Alternative Galvanic systems based on Leclanche element" was listened to.

Various musical numbers performed by the "Belcanto" vocal group were played in the artistic part of the event.

Then the conference continued its work with section meetings.

Let's note that department meetings will be held in 10 faculties, on 45 panels, and more than 1,700 reports will be heard.
