Turkish professors met with students of the Faculty of Medicine within the framework of the "Open Microphone" project at NSU

The first "Doctor of the Future: Career and Development" Open Microphone project of the new academic year was held at Nakhchivan State University. Within the framework of the project, the guest professors of the higher education institution met with the students of the "Medicine" faculty. It is organized in order to inform how to improve their knowledge and practical experience, to follow the planning in the right sequence in order to achieve academic success.  

In the last meeting moderated by Rajab Jafarli, Rector's adviser on strategic issues of NSU, it was emphasized that the Faculty of Medicine of the university has been training personnel in medical profile for 25 years and has had more than 1000 graduates so far. In the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the approval of the "State Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic for 2023-2027", the activity of the higher education institution as a science and medical center is among the priority issues. For this purpose, in order to increase the quality of higher education at NSU, strengthening cooperation between higher education institutions of other countries, organizing joint programs, further strengthening the material and technical base, and developing medical education tasks of implementation of projects on the implementation of programs with new content are mentioned. Within the framework of these tasks, among the strategic goals of NSU, the involvement of foreign academics in teaching, the establishment of close cooperation, and the involvement of scientists of foreign higher education institutions in teaching by faculties are especially noted. 31 foreign professors from 7 faculties were invited to the higher education institution in the new academic year. Thus, 50 foreign teachers will work at Nakhchivan State University in 2025-2026 academic year together with invited foreign scientists. At the same time, the number of guest scientists involved in teaching at the Faculty of Medicine is predominant. The Rector's adviser noted the participation of four of those scientists within the framework of the "Open Microphone" project and brought to the attention of the participants preliminary information about the professional activities of the visiting scientists. docent Meliha Ekinci shared her international experience with the participants of the event. Guest scientists emphasized the importance of professional training of health workers in the field of pharmaceuticals, internal diseases and public health, and pointed out what points should be paid attention to when planning a career as a specialist. height="253">
