Cinnamomum lanceolatum (Unger) Heer (or Daphnogene lanceolata by its synonymous taxonomic name) is an extinct ancient plant species that lived during the Paleogene and Neogene periods of the Cenozoic era — about 45–10 million years ago (Eocene, Oligocene, and Miocene epochs). In the specimen, the leaf structure is one of the main identifying features.
