The first bell of the new academic year rang at the International School of NSU

On the occasion of "September 15 - Knowledge Day" and the beginning of the 2026-2027 academic year, an event was held at the International School of Nakhchivan State University.

Rector of Nakhchivan State University Elbrus Isayev, management of International Cambridge School and Gymnasium under NSU, teachers, parents, students and guests took part in the event.

Rector of Nakhchivan State University Elbrus Isayev congratulated students, teachers and parents on the occasion of Knowledge Day and the beginning of the new academic year. The Rector said that the application of modern educational approaches in the International Cambridge School and Gymnasium operating under the university, the formation of a quality teaching environment and the preparation of students for the challenges of the future are among the main priorities.

Elbrus Isayev noted that in both educational institutions, in addition to academic knowledge, special attention is paid to the development of independent thinking, research, creativity, communication and leadership skills. Emphasizing that the modern and innovative educational environment created in the school creates ample opportunities for revealing the potential of students and their comprehensive development, the rector wished success to the staff in the new academic year and high achievements to the students.

At the event, special attention was paid to the high results achieved by the Gymnasium under NSU in the 2025-2026 academic year. It was reported that all 54 graduates of the Gymnasium were admitted to higher education institutions and signed a 100 percent result. 16 of the graduates scored more than 600, and 31 scored more than 500. 30 graduates were awarded certificates of distinction, and 2 graduates were awarded gold badges.

It was also noted that the interest in the gymnasium is increasing year by year. 526 candidates participated in the 6th grade entrance exam for the 2026-2027 academic year. Based on the results of the highly competitive exam, 60 students won the right to study at the Gymnasium.

The new academic year at the International Cambridge School under NSU has also started with significant enrollment figures. For the 2026-2027 academic year, 21 students were admitted to the first class of the school. 41 of the 90 candidates who took part in the entrance examination for the sixth grade got the right to study at the International Cambridge School after showing successful results.

At the event, Ziyafat Zamanli, who scored the highest score in the entrance exam to the Gymnasium, and Firuza Huseynaliyeva, who scored the highest score in the International Cambridge School, spoke on behalf of the students and shared their impressions and dreams about the new academic year.
