In connection with the implementation of the State Program, the projects realized at NSU and the work to be done were revealed

Rector's adviser on economic issues at the International Cambridge School of Nakhchivan State University Ulvi Bakhishli during the last period of the "Socio-Economic of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic informed the public about the projects implemented by the university and the work to be done in 2025 in the direction of the implementation of the State Program for the years 2023-2027.  >In the Action Plan of the "State Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic for 2023 - 2027" approved by the Decree, the fact that 3 important measures in the direction of human capital development are related to Nakhchivan State University is a clear example of the attention to education, science and human capital development in our country.  

It was announced that, within the framework of the State Program at NSU for 2024, important work has been done in the direction of the implementation of the specified activities and until the current year almost complete implementation has been achieved in all directions.  

With the relevant order of the rector of the university dated December 05, 2023, the relevant commission consisting of the relevant persons was created and started functioning for the purpose of implementing the projects provided by NSU in the action plan. Regarding the "Establishment of an English-speaking secondary school at Nakhchivan State University", which is considered the main priority direction, an English-oriented Gymnasium was established and its Charter approved within the framework of the State program. At the next stage, the NSU International Cambridge School started operating under the license of Cambridge University. In the school, which operates according to both the local curriculum and the international program, the teacher recruitment in accordance with the relevant standards has been realized and the structure has been formed. Also, within the framework of the State Program for the library and technical support of the school, 670 electronic and printed Cambridge textbooks and other books worth 72,748 AZN were provided. At the same time, electronic teaching equipment worth 151,440 manats - 2 PCs, 2 Notebooks, 2 multi-functional color printers, 2 black and white printers, 2 Interactive monitors, 2 UPS, 90 multi-functional tablets were purchased and put to use by the school. The project, implemented at the expense of the state program, is currently in the process of implementation and is expected to be completed by the next academic year. Thus, at the end of the current academic year, the high results of the Gymnasium students were recorded in the exams. One of the 9 students who showed the maximum results in the final exam held in the 2024-2025 academic year is a student of the Gymnasium, and that student was also the first in Nakhchivan. Also, 47 out of 61 students of the 9th grade and 24 out of 36 students of the 11th grade obtained a certificate of distinction in the final exams. These indicators are considered to be among the highest indicators in the country.m

From the academic year 2024 - 2025, for the first time in the country, at NSU - Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine "Medicine in the specialty SABAH groups was successfully accepted and 21 students started teaching. All the needs of the students were provided by the university with an additional grant of 50 manats in addition to the semester scholarships in accordance with the current guidelines. In order to enrich the electronic database and library resources of the SABAH units at NSU, 4 Ultra 4K projectors, 15 units with a total cost of 65,000 manats and 15 units Notebook, 171 textbooks in different languages were purchased and made available to students. In order to implement dual diploma programs, students studying "Economics" at NSU will continue their studies in 2+2 format with the Çankırı Karatekin University of the Republic of Turkey within the framework of a pre-signed contract started from the 2024-2025 academic year. In October 2024, a double degree agreement was concluded with the John Von Neumann University of the Republic of Hungary on the specialty "Computer Engineering" taught in English, and it was approved by the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and included in the admission plan, and admission will be held from the 2025-2026 academic year.

In general, 12 memoranda of understanding and 6 ERASMUS agreements were signed between Nakhchivan State University and higher education institutions operating in different countries in order to strengthen international cooperation and exchange during 2024. Advisor Ulvi Bakhishli emphasized that increasing the development of the region's human capital and paying attention and care to science and education is an important priority in the state strategy.  Finally, once again on behalf of the NSU collective, we express our gratitude to Mr. President for the conditions created and the attention shown, and we assure that we will try to justify the trust shown in our future activities with all our efforts.
