A cooperation meeting was held between Nakhchivan State University and the Ministry of Education of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic

The Rector of Nakhchivan State University Elbrus Isayev, the Minister of Education of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Elkhan Najafov, the management staff of the university and the ministry, 50 secondary school principals operating in the autonomous republic, heads of the autonomous republic's education departments took part in the meeting.

Nakhchivan State University Rector Elbrus Isayev highly appreciated the cooperation meeting held with the Ministry of Education of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and said that bilateral cooperation is aimed at the development of the educational environment. The rector talked about the general activities of the university, the campus, the taught specialties, and noted that NSU, as the only university with a campus in the country, operates with 10 faculties, 45 departments, 3 colleges, 1 Cambridge School and 1 English-oriented Gymnasium. He emphasized that NSU currently teaches English-language specialties in addition to the Azerbaijani language in 250 specialties, it is the leading higher education institution in the country in terms of the number of foreign students and the existence of direct relations with about 150 universities of the world. Touching on the importance of adapting education to the requirements of the labor market, the rector spoke about the steps taken in the direction of the preparation of new educational programs of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. In this direction, optimization processes at the level of higher education are being implemented, and the positive effect of the application of new approaches to teaching qualifications on the quality of personnel training has been brought into consideration. Rector h also talked about the special effect of the number of applicants who chose pedagogic specialties at NSU by scoring high marks in the entrance exams on the improvement of the quality of admission at the university. He also pointed out the importance of the ongoing pedagogical experience and suggested that students acquire detailed knowledge and inform them about the rules for hiring teachers. There is mutual cooperation between the Ministry of Education and the university. It is highly commendable that this partnership will be formalized with a Memorandum of Cooperation. The minister emphasized that this meeting has the essence of intensifying and developing cooperation in the direction of the implementation of the issues arising from the Detailed Action Plan for the socio-economic development of Nakhchivan. It is also aimed at supporting the professional development of teachers and creating an exemplary educational environment. use, creation of joint working groups and relevant interview commissions, holding of "open house" days, organization of exemplary lessons, educational meetings are intended areas of cooperation. involvement, acquaintance with the scientific library of NSU and exchange of experience, organization of meetings with final year students, provision of support of student volunteers are among the events planned in this direction.   

Then a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Ministry of Education of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and Nakhchivan State University .

Then Rajab Jafarli, advisor to the rector on strategic issues of NSU, with activities on the strategic development of the higher education institution made a presentation about He talked about the organization of teaching and scientific activity at the university with a modern type and multi-profile education system, university-industry cooperation, measures implemented in the direction of the implementation of the "State Program for the socio-economic development of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic for 2023-2027", international relations, IELTS, SAT centers and international projects.
