The 2024 report and 2025 plans of Nakhchivan State University Hospital were discussed
A meeting was held at Nakhchivan State University regarding the annual activity report of the university hospital and plans for the next year. Rector of the university Elbrus Isayev touched on the importance of student-oriented education and emphasized the importance of active participation of students in clinical classes as well as theoretical knowledge. It was stated that familiarization of the students with the hospital environment and practical experience play an important role for their professional development. The rector also drew attention to the issue of establishing a medical campus based on the "State Program of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev on the socio-economic development of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic for 2023-2027". According to the plan, a modern educational building, a research hospital, a student dormitory, a medical college and residential buildings for teachers will be built on the campus. and he emphasized that development in the direction of a scientific-research hospital is ensured. According to the head doctor, according to the annual work plan in 2024, among the students, 186 people had blood pressure, 115 people had ultrasound of the thyroid gland, and 24 people had cardiological examinations related to sports competitions. In total, medical services were provided to 225 students during the year. Among the teachers, blood pressure monitoring was performed on 102 people, cardiological examinations on 96 people, ultrasound examinations of internal organs and thyroid gland on 90 people, and a total of 258 teachers were covered by medical services. 110 people participated in the daily polyclinic reception. Also, Elmar Rzayev emphasized that the hospital covered 1846 requests for polyclinic admission in 2024, various medical campaigns were held and the staff actively participated in these events. Touching on the educative role of the hospital's activity in the media, the chief doctor presented the priority goals of increasing the quality of medical care, expanding preventive measures and applying innovative approaches for 2025.
Proposals were voiced at the meeting to further expand the university's activities in the field of medicine.
