An educational event on the use of international electronic databases was held at Nakhchivan State University

The rector of the university Elbrus Isayev, faculty deans, heads of departments and employees of the Scientific Library took part in the event.

The Director of the University's Scientific Library Khumar Mammadova gave detailed information about the international scientific resources subscribed by NSU. He said that the university has joined such prestigious platforms as Taylor & Francis, Clarivate ProQuest and EBSCO Information Services. The Taylor & Francis database contains more than 5,450,000 full-text articles, more than 2,600 scientific journals and other interactive resources. University users have access to the full text of a significant portion of these materials. The Clarivate ProQuest database contains more than 700,000 academic e-books, as well as more than 6 million dissertations and theses. It is possible to get more than 600,000 full-text e-books on the EBSCO Information Services system in 8 fields. In general, Nakhchivan State University has access to about 20 million different categories of resources in multidisciplinary fields of science. 14.0pt">Elbrus Isayev noted that the university has formed a modern technical base in this direction, and a special working group for the management of electronic resources operates. He also drew attention to the importance of conducting regular trainings in order to increase the use of international databases by teachers and students. Askerli presented statistical data on access to international electronic databases and talked about the technical work done in this direction at the university.

At the end, the questions of the participants of the event were answered, and proposals were made to further expand the use of international scientific resources.
