A scientific-practical conference dedicated to the 33rd anniversary of YAP was held at Nakhchivan State University

With the joint organization of Nakhchivan State University and the Nakhchivan City Organization of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), a scientific-practical conference dedicated to the 33rd anniversary of the founding of the YAP was held within the framework of the "Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty".

Event Nationwide It started with a one-minute silence commemoration of leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs and the playing of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Rector of Nakhchivan State University Elbrus Isayev, who opened the conference with an introductory speech, said that the ideology of Azerbaijanism is one of the important ideological pillars in strengthening the unity of the people-power-army. This ideology plays a major role in the education of young people in the spirit of patriotism, in the formation of national identity and principles of statehood. Education of students, intellectual development, loyalty to the state and healthy political thinking are among the main priorities of the university. It was emphasized that the main distinguishing feature of this first organization is the majority of intellectuals, as well as active young people who are of great importance for the party and the country. It was pointed out that ensuring the future of the party, protecting and further strengthening its position falls on these young people. Their activity and initiative play a decisive role in the successful development of the party.

YAP Nakhchivan City Organization Chairman Elman Jafarli said in a speech on "From National Liberation to Sovereignty: New Azerbaijan Party" that YAP, founded in Nakhchivan on November 21, 1992 under the leadership of great leader Heydar Aliyev, was formed as a political organization mobilizing all layers of society for the protection of independent statehood and national interests. It was noted that under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, who was elected as the chairman of YAP after the III Congress held in 2005, the political and economic independence of Azerbaijan has been further strengthened, and the country has become one of the strongest states in the region. The party is celebrating its 33rd anniversary this year, and YAP members have shown an example of service and dedication to the people during these years.

Later, the chairman of YAP University Territorial Organization Bahruz Mammadov spoke on the topic "From historical victory to state sovereignty: political will, military power and national solidarity". Professor of Nakhchivan State University Hajifakhraddin Safarli gave a report on "30-year-old Constitution and restoration of sovereignty".
