A Biotechnology Center is established at Nakhchivan State University with the support of Yıldız Technical University

          Rector of Nakhchivan State University Elbrus Isayev on February 13, 2026 Yıldız Texniki UThe university's strong engineering school, high activity in international indexed scientific publications and developed technopark infrastructure make it one of the leading research centers of the region. The scientific base, modern laboratory infrastructure and strong personnel potential formed in this field will make an important contribution to the effective operation of the new center.

Equipping the center with modern equipment, implementation of joint scientific research projects, expansion of research opportunities for doctoral and graduate students are identified as the main priorities.

Besides, experience was exchanged in the field of technopark and start-up activities, innovation projects, university-industry cooperation. Development of a dual diploma program at the master's level in the "Information security" specialty, organization of student and faculty exchange programs issues mmore

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed on further deepening of existing cooperation, preparation of a concrete action plan related to the creation of the Biotechnology Center, implementation of joint research projects and joint participation in international grant programs.

Let's note that the bilateral cooperation agreement between the universities was signed in 2021.
