A conference called "Legacy of Victory" was held at Nakhchivan State University

On November 5, in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, the plan of events related to the celebration of the fifth anniversary of November 8 - Victory Day isin the framework of Nakhchivan State University "Heritage of Victory" conference was held.

The participants of the conference first visited the Victory monument located in Nakhchivan city and laid flowers in front of the monument.

Then there was a viewing of the exhibition in which over 60 hand works of the students of the Faculty of Arts of the higher education institution were displayed on November 8 - Victory Day. government officials, deputies, public representatives, university faculty and students participated.

In his opening speech, Prime Minister of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Jeyhun Jalilov noted that the restoration and strengthening of statehood traditions in the modern history of Azerbaijan is connected with the name of National Leader Heydar Aliyev. Jeyhun Jalilov emphasized that as a result of the purposeful policy of President Ilham Aliyev, who successfully continued the political course of the Great Leader, our national unity became stronger and the unity of the people-state-army was a decisive factor in winning the historic Victory in the 44-day Patriotic War. The Prime Minister talked about the historical significance of November 8 - Victory Day, evaluated yesterday, today and tomorrow in the context, and expressed that this date is a day of pride and gratitude for every Azerbaijani. Jeyhun Jalilov said: "The historical victory won five years ago not only restored the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, but also demonstrated the real power we have to the whole world." The Prime Minister called the conference held on the occasion of the significant day a very important scientific exchange platform aimed at determining the ways of transferring the historical victory to future generations as an example of national heritage, patriotism and strategic thinking, analyzing reconstruction and reconstruction processes in Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur, economic development opportunities and "post-war" strategies.

Rector of Nakhchivan State University Elbrus Isayev stressed that the restoration of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our country is forever engraved in history as our greatest Victory, and for the fifth year we are celebrating Victory Day on November 8 with national pride. The victory of our army on the battlefield under the leadership of Muzaffar Supreme Commander Ilham Aliyev restored historical justice, turned Azerbaijan into a regional power center, and put an end to biased campaigns against our country on the information front. Pointing out that this great victory was created by the goals set in the economic, political, educational, army building and ideological fields in the country over the past years, the rector emphasized that Azerbaijan has always proved to the world that it is a reliable partner in the international world based on the basic principles of peace, stability, development and cooperation. Elbrus Isayev spoke about the new realities that Azerbaijan has brought to the region as the only country that has brought its new combat experience to modern military history in the 21st century and held a Victory Parade, and the rector noted: "The conference was organized to scientifically investigate the military-political, diplomatic, economic and cultural aspects of the historic Victory we won in the 44-day Patriotic War, to discuss the new realities created by the victory and its role in establishing peace in the region." Rahimzade also made a speech, talked about the historical and political significance of November 8 - Victory Day, and drew attention to the new perspectives it brings to the region. The speakers pointed out that our state has never come to terms with the fact of the occupation of our lands, spoke about the determination and perseverance of the head of state on the way to historical victory, the unity of our people, and expressed that even today he is clearly demonstrating his loyalty to his position and principles on the highest chairs. Also, they said that the opinions expressed at the conference reflect a clearer picture of the citizen's responsibility towards the society and the state, that the heroism of our martyrs and veterans should be kept alive, and that every Azerbaijani youth should be loyal to the state, patriotic, connected to their national identity, and have a healthy ideology.

Then the conference continued its work with panel discussions on "History of victory and military political heritage", "After historical victory: economy and reconstruction", "Our historical victory in the media", "Application of international law in war and peace processes".
