The staff of Nakhchivan State University visited the Alley of Martyrs in Nakhchivan on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the January 20 tragedy.

Collective Commemorating the dear memory of the martyrs of January 20, they placed sweaty carnations on their graves and commemorated all the heroes who died for the freedom and territorial integrity of our country with deep respect and reverence. At the same time, the souls of the children of the country who were martyred in the Karabakh war were remembered, and sweat carnations were arranged on their graves. This visit was not to forget the history of the national struggle of our people and an expression of deep respect for the dear memory of the martyrs.

The tragedy of January 20 will live forever in the blood memory of our people as a symbol of the struggle for freedom and independence. On the night of January 19-20, 1990, hundreds of innocent people were martyred, thousands of citizens were injured and disappeared as a result of the bloody massacre committed by the Soviet army in Baku.
