"Nakhchivan Global Youth Forum 2026" international forum was held at Nakhchivan State Technical College under Nakhchivan State University

"Nakhchivan Global" dedicated to the 103rd anniversary of the birth of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, with the support of the Youth Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Nakhchivan State University and the organization of the Union of Azerbaijan Student Youth Organizations, at Nakhchivan State Technical College under Nakhchivan State University "Youth Forum 2026" international forum was held. The forum, which took place with the participation of local and foreign youth studying in Nakhchivan, included 200 people in total. The main goal of the forum was to increase the knowledge and skills of young people on global challenges, innovative approaches and modern development directions, to encourage them to be more actively integrated into the transformation processes taking place in the modern world. Speaking at the opening speech, Nakhchivan State University vice-rector for social affairs and public relations Nicat Yagubov spoke about the importance of the initiatives implemented in the direction of the comprehensive development of young people, and emphasized that international cooperation and student initiative are of particular importance in modern times.

Rashad Zeynalov, chairman of the Union of Azerbaijan Student Youth Organizations, noted in his speech that the forum plays an important role in terms of dialogue, exchange of ideas and formation of new cooperation platforms among young people. He said that training young people with a global mindset, innovative and enterprising is one of the main priorities of the modern era.

Arzu Gasimov, director of the Nakhchivan Branch of the Youth Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan, spoke about the projects implemented within the framework of the state youth policy and emphasized the importance of supporting social activity and individual development of young people. pointed out.

Then the forum continued with the first panel session called "From Participation to Impact: New Approaches in Youth Policy". Aziz Gasimov, deputy of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and deputy chairman of the Legal Policy Committee, Gulkhanim Orujova, the deputy head of the Nakhchivan City Executive Authority, Surkhai Rzayev, the head of the Nakhchivan City Youth and Sports Department, and Arzu Gasimov, the director of the Nakhchivan Branch of the Youth Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, spoke at the panel moderated by the chairman of the Union of Azerbaijan Student Youth Organizations Rashad Zeynalov. Within the framework of the panel, opinions were exchanged on youth participation in decision-making processes, development of leadership skills, strengthening of state-youth cooperation, and innovative approaches in modern youth policy. It was noted that the active participation of young people in public and social processes is one of the main factors of sustainable development.
