          A scientific report event on the results of 2025 was held at Nakhchivan State University.

In the event NDU Rector spoke about the scientific results of 2025 and the goals set for 2026. The Rector said that in 2025, Nakhchivan State University has achieved important achievements in the field of science, research and innovation. Scientific activity indicators of students have increased, the number of publications in prestigious journals with international indexes has increased significantly compared to previous years, student start-up teams have been successful in local and international competitions. At the same time, the university has access to leading international scientific electronic databases, which serves to strengthen the scientific infrastructure.

Vice Chancellor for Science and Innovation Elsever Asadov delivered a report on the results of 2025 and gave detailed information about the scientific-research works carried out by the faculties during the year, the results obtained, innovations of practical importance and the tasks ahead. He said that 2025 was an important stage in the history of scientific activity of the university. During the year, there were more than 3,000 publications at the university, of which 150 are monographs, textbooks, teaching aids, programs and methodical materials.> scientific articles have been published, 1,300 of which have been published in foreign scientific publications, and more than 300 in prestigious international journals included in the Web of Science and Scopus databases. At the same time, he pointed out that more than 600 theses were published, of which 370 were printed abroad.

In the speech, it was noted that the average number of publications per member of the academic staff was more than 5, and all these indicators have increased significantly compared to previous years. In particular, the number of authoritative publications published in Scopus and Web of Science databases in 2025 was equal to the total indicator of the university for all previous periods. 33 of the publications in 2025 are in Q1, 51 in Q2, 70 in Q3, 26 in Q4 journals, 5 in conference materials and 2 in the book section. This fact shows that the scientific potential and research quality of Nakhchivan State University has increased significantly.

At the end, it was noted that the implemented measures serve to stimulate scientific and academic activity at the university, strengthen the research environment and improve the mechanisms for evaluating the performance of employees. The recommendations given in order to improve the quality of scientific results, applied motivational mechanisms and salary increases are aimed at ensuring sustainable development and institutional strengthening at Nakhchivan State University. attestation of doctoral students, as well as issues of completion of master's theses were discussed. The chairman of the Student Scientific Society Yusif Mirzazade informed about the scientific activity of the students. It was reported that 66 scientific projects involving 4132 students were implemented in 2025. During the year, 159 scientific and 47 journalistic articles were published by students.

It was noted that about a third of the published scientific publications were published in journals with a high impact factor. Also, these indicators include 3 scientific articles with Scopus and Web of Science indexes prepared by students.

In addition, in the 2025-2026 academic year, 1775 students will conduct scientific research on 1771 topics under the scientific guidance of 647 teachers. is held.

It was emphasized that all these obtained indicators, being the highest results of the last 9 years, show that the level of development of scientific activity of students at the university has increased significantly.

According to the results, a group of academic staff members and students of the university were awarded in various nominations.

Thus, the Faculty of Architecture and Engineering was awarded the title of "Faculty of the Year" for 2025. At the same time, those who distinguished themselves in the nominations "Researcher of the Year", "Best Research Group Leader of the Year", "Most Active Doctoral Student of the Year", "Most Active Master's Student of the Year" and "Research Student of the Year" were awarded with certificates and letters of thanks.
