Azerbaijan Youth Day was celebrated at NSU

An event dedicated to Azerbaijan Youth Day was held at Nakhchivan State University on February 2.

First, viewing of the exhibition consisting of handicrafts, diplomas and trophies of teachers and students of the Faculty of Architecture and Engineering of the Technology Transfer and Innovations Sector, Sports Club, and students. was held.

At the event, which started with the playing of the National Anthem, the dear memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and our martyrs who died for the freedom of our land was commemorated with a minute of silence.

Elbrus Isayev, rector of the higher education institution, spoke and said that the establishment of Azerbaijan Youth Day is related to the name of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev. Emphasizing the creation of the Ministry of Youth and Sports in order to manage the youth policy in the country from one center, the rector noted that today the youth of Azerbaijan are the main support and leading force of the state. Elbrus Isayev spoke about the successful youth policy implemented in the country: "The youth policy founded by the great leader Heydar Aliyev is being successfully continued by Mr. President Ilham Aliyev. Our Victory, the young people who died for the land and are ready to do so, once again confirmed the success of this policy." "During 2025, more than 150 scientific articles written by undergraduate students of NSU were published in local and foreign magazines and conference materials." At the awarding ceremony of the event, letters of thanks were presented to the students selected for their activity in the fields of volunteering, culture, sports, and innovation of the university, as well as to a number of active members of student organizations.

In the artistic part of the event, various musical numbers were performed by the "Turan" group of the Faculty of Arts, the "Belcanto" vocal group and the "Beri bax" vocal group consisting of foreign students.
