Events dedicated to International Teachers' Day were held at NSU
In Nakhchivan State University, events were held on the occasion of October 5 - International Teachers' Day. Later, an exhibition was presented where about 50 handicrafts of teachers and students were presented.
The event began with a minute of silence commemorating the memory of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and our martyrs and playing the National Anthem. and talked about the irreplaceable role of teachers in the progress of our country, in the education of our society, and in the formation of knowledgeable and patriotic young people. The vice-rector informed about the history and importance of the International Teachers' Day, saying that this significant day has been celebrated since 1966 by the decision of UNESCO. In our country, since 1993, special attention has been paid to this date at the state level. During the political activity of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, the honorable name of the Azerbaijani teacher was always exalted, comprehensive conditions were created for his activity and he was treated with care. During the political successor of the Great Leader, President Ilham Aliyev, great importance was always attached to the work, hard work, and educational activities of teachers, and even today they are given special respect as the most important class of society. "A teacher's life", "The first of girls", "What you didn't come to", "Long live a thousand", "Sea and Sky" and other performances were met with applause. Teachers in the faculties of history-philology, physics-mathematics, international relations and law, foreign languages, medicine, art, natural science and agriculture, pedagogy, architecture and economics talked about the nature of the special day and the responsibilities they face. Speakers speaking at faculty events noted that the name of a teacher is always held in high esteem as a symbol of nobility, intelligence and spiritual purity in the national thinking of the Azerbaijani people. The events were colorful and memorable with a rich program content.
