A round table called "Media and artificial intelligence" was held at NSU

In the Scientific Library of Nakhchivan State University, a round table on the role of artificial intelligence in the media was organized with the participation of teachers and students of the university's Faculty of History and Philology.

Director of the Scientific Library Khumar Mammadova spoke about the importance of the "Artificial Intelligence Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2025-2028" approved by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. He emphasized that the implementation of the measures envisaged in the strategy will contribute to the development of artificial intelligence in the country and its application in various fields, especially in the media sector.

Head of the "Journalism and Literature of Foreign Countries" Chair of the University, PhD in Philology, Associate Professor Shahla Shiraliyeva spoke extensively about the effectiveness, effects and risks of artificial intelligence in the media. gave a speech. He said that artificial intelligence creates conditions for accelerating the flow of information, gaining new opportunities for journalism, and at the same time increases the risk of spreading fake news. Shahla Shiraliyeva presented examples of the use of artificial intelligence in the process of news preparation and editing, and drew attention to the importance of the ethical responsibility of journalists.
