An event dedicated to the 103rd anniversary of the birth of National Leader Heydar Aliyev was organized at Nakhchivan State University.

First of all, an exhibition of art works by teachers and students of the Faculty of Arts of the university was viewed. Various artworks reflecting the life and activities of National Leader Heydar Aliyev were displayed at the exhibition.

Before the event began, the memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and our dear martyrs who died for the freedom of our land was commemorated with a minute of silence. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played.

Rector of Nakhchivan State University Elbrus Isayev said in his speech that the stages led by the Great Leader both during the Soviet era and during the years of independence were important turning points in the development of Azerbaijan. He noted that independent Azerbaijan, founded by the National Leader, is advancing on the path of sustainable development and conquering new heights under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev. It was also emphasized that Azerbaijan has restored its territorial integrity and sovereignty as a result of a purposeful policy implemented in the economic, political, military and diplomatic spheres for many years. All the achievements are based on the rich heritage and ideas of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev.

The artistic part of the event featured a concert program of the Nakhchivan State University Symphony Orchestra under the artistic direction of Associate Professor Mubariz Askerov, Honored Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Rauf Mirishli's "Heart burning like a torch", "Your name is glory, our place of glory", "You are such a peak" by Kemal, "Alagoz" by Jahangir Jahangirov were performed in the concert program. In the end, Eldar Mansurov's work "Ilhamla Sabaha" was read together with all the event participants.
