A solo concert dedicated to the 140th anniversary of Uzeyir Hajibeyli was held at NSU

A solo concert dedicated to the 140th anniversary of Uzeyir Hajibeyli, the founder of Azerbaijani professional music art, was held at the Faculty of Arts of Nakhchivan State University, a teacher of the "Folk Drums" department, President's prize winner, doctor of philosophy in art studies, associate professor Aynura Guliyeva.

The concert was organized according to the Decree "On the 140th anniversary of the birth of Uzeyir Hajibeyli" signed by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, on February 3, 2025.

The concert was accompanied by the "Khatun" singing girls and the "Khari bulbul" instrumental ensembles. created a pleasant atmosphere among the viewers of the program.

Thus, excerpts from the opera "Arshin mal alan" by Uzeyir Hajibeyli, "I have broken a heart" by Ramiz Mirishli and other well-known composers were played. The performances throughout the concert were met with applause.

At the end of the event, the Rector of Nakhchivan State University Elbrus Isayev spoke and drew attention to the special importance of President Ilham Aliyev's Decree "On the celebration of the 140th anniversary of the great composer Uzeyir Hajibeyli". The Rector said that various events were organized in the university during the current year in order to implement the order. Today's concert is also of special importance in terms of the implementation of the decree, the preservation of the national musical heritage and its transmission to future generations. Elbrus Isayev noted that the classical music school created by Mr. Uzeyir lives on and inspires the development of new talents.
