The jubilee and book presentation of NSU associate professor Iman Jafarov was held

Associate professor of the "Journalism and Literature of Foreign Countries" chair of Nakhchivan State University, Doctor of Philosophy in Philology Iman Jafarov's 60th anniversary and the presentation ceremony of his monograph "Molla Nasreddin Journal and Eastern Literature" was held.

The rector of the university, Elbrus Isayev, opened the event and spoke about the multi-year effective activity of associate professor Iman Jafarov both in the field of teaching and management. He said that Iman Jafarov conducted important researches in the direction of research and promotion of Azerbaijani literature and presented a valuable scientific heritage for the young generation. The Rector noted that the monograph "Molla Nasreddin Magazine and Eastern Literature" contributes to a deep understanding of the history of our national press and Eastern literary thought. Later, Elbrus Isayev presented a letter of thanks to Iman Jafarov, who celebrated his 60th birthday, for his scientific and pedagogical activities.

Vice Chancellor of the University for Social Affairs and Public Relations Nijat Yagubov touched on the content of the book and emphasized that the work contains materials reminiscent of the attitude of the representatives of Molla Nasreddin's literary front to medieval Eastern literature, as well as the creativity of powerful pen holders. The students of the History and Philology Faculty of the University read the poems "Childhood", "Fear", "Because of You", "Sleep" and "Vagif Mammadova" written by the jubilee.
